The Tummy Timer Play Cards are a deck of inspired play cards, with activities for 0-6 month olds.
Play Cards provide simple and inspiring play prompts and ideas for engaging with children in screen-free fun. The cards contain simple instructions with high contrast images that provide 20+ ideas to transform simple household objects into fun experiences.
Tummy time is important for developing babies as it helps to strengthen their back, neck, arms and legs, and teaches them to pivot and reach (the precursors to crawling).
The ‘tummy timer’ deck will help to create a happy baby who loves playing on their tummy. The activities in this deck can also be done on their back, providing a great distraction during nappy changes.
Each inspired play card in the deck also contains additional information on the back:
- Teacher talk: a quick list of developmental areas the activity focuses on
- Switch it up: ways to change the activity based on different needs
- Hot tips: little tricks to make it a success (think clean up ideas, safety advice, alternative resources to use)
